So many questions: we interview people from different countries trying to get a better understanding for the value of water. Also we talk to experts about topics like virtual water or sewerage in Hanoi.
Issues
Pollution
2050 the oceans could contain more plastic than fish. Nonetheless environmental pollution increases. We continue to buy and throw away whilst plastic, toxic substances & other waste materials destroy the waters on earth.
Privatisation
The increasing scarcity of water makes it a valuable ressource. Quite handy for companies like Nestlé or Coca Cola, which can make a profit of the blue gold, that i essential to life.
Uneven distribution
Drinking water: more than enough in Germany, a scarcity in China. How should we deal with the reality, that the blue gold is not equally distributed throughout the globe?
Waste
Water can not be used, it changes form and place in an endless cycle. However it can be used unnecessarily and unproportially or even be polluted.
